Our Story

We begin in 2006 on a youth camp in Coopers Landing, Alaska. Kate, originally from New Hampshire and living in Massachusetts meets Katie originally from Idaho and living in Montana. We receive our camp nicknames, Kate being Skipper and Katie being Finn, immediately hitting it off and having the time of our lives in the beautiful mountains of Alaska.

Fast forward a couple of years and Finn is getting hitched. Skipper can't make it, so being the amazing friend she is, catches a flight to Boise a few weeks later. We have fun in Boise, a lot of fun.

 The summer following good times in Boise Skipper and Finn once again become camp counselors, this time in Switzerland 

and Austria. 

Wanting to continue this awesome tradition of meeting and traveling together, we decide it is a must that we meet once a year, and since then have met in...

Boston, then Ireland

 

Yellowstone and Bozeman

And most recently, 

New Orleans.

And this brings us to now.  Skipper and I will most likely never live in the same city, state, or even within the same sides of the country.  But we have managed to stay connected and work hard to fulfill an often empty promise to "get together sometime."

This site is dedicated to that hard work, to keeping in touch, to remembering good times, and to passing on our ever growing knowledge of travel.
